Despite facing a multi-million dollar loss as a result of exploding phones, Samsung’s PR team has issued a release saying that it could be worse as they could have ended up with the assignment to manage the reputation of disaster prone and highly explosive Daham Sirisena.
The statement said, “We have been working round the clock to mitigate the fallout from the exploding Galaxy Note 7 and this is the single biggest PR effort undertaken by any mobile manufacturer. However, despite the uphill task to minimise the impact on the Samsung brand we sympathise with the Sri Lanka’s Presidential Media Division, who are facing a greater challenge to manage the walking disaster that is Daham Sirisena. While we have already issued an apology and outlined the plan to remedy the situation, there have been no updates from Daham with regards to the incident.”
“We understand that there is a plan underway to blame the fracas outside the Clique nightclub on a Samsung Galaxy Note7 which he was carrying at the time, which they say exploded causing people to go mental and hit other people. It has been rumoured that personnel attached to the PSD confiscated the phones from security guards attached to the club that they attacked for the guards own safety as they may have exploded and released footage of Daham,” the statement added.
“We were trying to use the same excuse and blame the exploding phones on the Daham app that came with the phone which caused the phone to heat up.”
