I Was Just Implementing Govt Policy Of Breaking Down Barriers To Entry: Daham Sirisena

DSFollowing a ‘do you know who my father is’ ego driven altercation outside a Colombo nightclub, Daham Sirisena has defended his and his goon’s actions saying he was just trying to implement government economic policy of breaking down entrance barriers, which he faced on Friday night.

Daham, who managed to ward off the symptoms off ‘President’s Son’ for several months having been afflicted with the condition around January last year, appears to have missed a course of the medication which resulted in the brawl over the weekend. A statement issued by the Presidential Secretariat said, “We are trying our level best to cover this up. So far we have managed to use our influence to ensure the Daily Mirror use the synonym ‘Politician’s Son’ in place of ‘Daham Sirisena’. We have also sent staff to confiscate any footage. But in all honesty and spin, we don’t believe anything untoward happened.”

“He explained to us that all he was trying to do was implement the government’s economic programme by breaking down entrance barriers and smashing glass ceilings whenever he encountered them. He tried entering into a nightclub but encountered an obstruction. But rather than employ traditional tools of lowering entrance barriers of encouraging competition, opening up intellectual property and breaking up exclusive distributor agreements, he chose to use batons and fists instead. It is an unorthodox strategy but it worked so we can condone it.”
