Jayalalitha is Bookies Favourite to be First Person Stuck on India – Sri Lanka Road

No sooner news broke that plans were underway to build a road connecting India and Sri Lanka, several leading bookies slashed the odds on controversial Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha being the first person to get stuck on the road, with neither country really wanting her on their land.

One bookmaker said “Last evening there were flurry of bets on Jayalalitha for this market as soon as it surfaced that plans on connecting the country were underway and we had to immediately amend the odds and may even have to suspend betting as we are looking at a significant financial loss when she ends up living on the new road”

As part of the feasibility study, engineers are looking at building a flyover over Tamil Nadu so no one need pass through the state where she has been sentenced to a 5^th Term as Chief Minister for allegedly uncommitted crimes and corruption.
