Mad hatter Donald Trump has asked the trio of Sri Lankan politicians who had the opposite impact to their desired mission on the Brexit vote, to support Presidential Democrat candidate Hilary Clinton in the forthcoming US Presidential Election, in the hope that it would have the same impact.
MP’s Harin Fernando and Harsha De Silva, together with Prime Ministerial spokesperson Rosie Senanayake recently visited the UK in order to try and convince Sri Lankans living over there to vote for the Great Britain to remain in the EU. However, despite their attempts, the vote went the other way and there are indications that a number of expat Sri Lankans voted to leave fearing mass immigration.
One Sri Lankan who migrated to London in the 70s and attended the event said, “These bloody migrants are ruining this country. We used to be able to walk along the suburbs of London hearing the beautiful language of Sinhala being spoken and smell the wonderful aromas of spicy curries being cooked that drowned out the bland odour of scones and apple pies being baked. We could even have long conversations with the British which mainly involved them trying to figure out what we were trying to say for over several hours. Now these bloody Europeans want to come and ruin it – they don’t even speak the Sinhala language. That’s why I’m voting to leave. These Government ministers came and told us that we should vote to stay and then they left too.”
Trump said, “What a result for the UNP! Now I urge Harsha, Harin and Rosie should back Hilary in the US Election. I will even pay for their flights and accommodation. As long as Sri Lankans in the US react the same way they did in the UK this will be a landslide victory for me.”
