Social Media users in Sri Lanka have outdone their foreign counterparts and set an international trend by managing to insert more than one message about politics in to a single post, a recent survey revealed.
It was found that Sri Lankans manage to enter multiple issues on politics in to posts and clogging up user’s news feeds with politics related message being posted every .054 seconds. The association setup for those who takes up Selfies – the Narcissists – have already complained to the internet that the number of people liking and sharing their posts has decreased dramatically while also upset their they can’t make their friends jealous anymore.
One woman who didn’t want to speak anonymously because of the decline in her Facebook post’s engagement levels said “Since the general election was announced I am very disappointed that no one is commenting on my photos. Not even a ‘What a bitch’ comment. I can’t wait till August 18th. It’s Vindiya by the way. No h. Would you like a Selfie with me?”. Another couple complained “What’s the point on going on holiday and enjoying it if nobody likes our pictures even if they can’t afford it or didn’t come with us. We will never again book a holiday during the election campaign”
Doctors have advised those who have complained about and suffering from the incessant posting to stop going Facebook for a while. Most patients are waiting to read the article about the advice on Facebook, making a comment and then sharing before heeding it.
