Contractor Building Dream Home Stalls Work After Customer Says Dream Included No Payment

Dream Home 2Contractors across the country have been forced to stall work while a dispute over customers dream homes were being contested with clients saying that their dream didn’t include making any payment and contractors were making false promises in their promotional material.

One prospective homeowner said, “When I saw the contractor’s advert which stated that they would build my dream home, the timing was perfect as I had a dream about it the previous night. It consisted of 4 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a wet and dry kitchen, a Bengal tiger, wine cellar, rooftop terrace with pool, two girlfriends and no kids. I worked with an architect to develop the plan and then handed it over to the contractor to start work.”

“However, two weeks after construction began he came asking for an advance. I told him that the dream that I had about this house did not involve any payment. And their advertisement stated building by dream home, so they had to build it or be reported for false advertising,” he added.

“I have also now taken this up with banks who have said they can give me my dream car and holiday. But all of them want money. I don’t know what kind of dreams they are having, but none one mine involve handing over money to someone else.”
