‘ECTA Not So Bad After All’ Say GMOA On Hearing About Cars and Flats Offered By Indian Bosses

ECTAThe GMOA, who have been practising protectionism alongside medicine, said that they are ready to change their tune with regards to the signing of the free trade agreement between India and Sri Lankan after hearing the news that Indian bosses offer very generous bonus schemes which include cars and flats.

A spokesman for the association said, “Maybe these Indians aren’t that bad after all. We know they can do our jobs better than us and with more professionalism so we had reservations about letting them in but as long as we get flats and car every Deepawali then I think we can agree this is a good thing for the country. Only a few months ago the government were trying to curb the permits we received for vehicles. But that won’t be an issue if we get a charitable Indian boss.”

“A lot of the medical officers, especially those in the GMOA committee are considering converting to being Hindu in light of the gifts offered during the festival of lights. We have decided to have a  change of heart and the coronary replacement services offered by the Indian surgeons are top notch,” the spokesman added.

“Of course, if the Indians can build some good schools and ensure that the doctor’s children get preferential treatment then we’ll even extend our support for Modi to run the country. At the moment our children can’t brag about their parents being doctors as it doesn’t hold the prestige it used to.”
