‘Either We Conduct Investigations Or Do Yahapaalanaya – We Can’t Multitask’ Claims Government

ManifestoAddressing the increasing levels of public frustration with regards to the lack of any significant progress since the national elections, a spokesman for the Government today said that they cannot multitask and that two of the key projects, Investigations and Yahapalanaya, would have to be done separately.

“The people appointed us in order to bring justice by investigating crimes and fraudulent activities of the previous government, and to deliver our plan of Yahapalanaya. However we are unable to do both at the same time as we lack the skills to multitask. We don’t even have a Minister of Multitasking. We decided that appointing commissions and conducting investigations would be our first task as they would take a long time, provide hope of an outcome without delivering any verdicts and get the media to make us look like we are doing a lot of work.”

“So until such time these investigations are complete Yahapalanayha is on hold so Politicians can get on with Nepotism, Demanding Media Censorship, Corruption and Unchecked Police Behaviour can continue. However these things can be done concurrently” he added.

Meanwhile members of the previous government have organised a reunion in the corridor of the PRECIFAC investigation as they said it was the most convenient location.
