Following Recent Media Statements G.L. Peiris To Become World’s First Professor In Alternative Facts

Joint Opposition MP GL Peiris has been tipped to become world’s first Professor of Alternative Facts ahead of US Press Secretary Sean Spicer following a slew of statements against the Government which has even surprised the President’s spokesman.

At a recent press conference, Mr Spicer said, “Can you believe this guy? He’s managed to out alternative fact me. And that’s despite coming from an island that no one’s heard about. I checked with the President yesterday and even he didn’t know where Sri Lanka was, mainly because he does not own any companies in that country. So actually Sri Lanka is now also on the list of banned countries and will have to build a wall around the island at their own cost.”

Mr Peiris said, “I am glad to be in line to be the first Professor of Alternative Facts. This is a greater achievement than the time I was voted in as President of Sri Lanka and also when I won Hunk Of The Year in 2012. After reading for the PhD, the public will find out more about the Yahapaalanaya Government including that the fact that they have sold Galle to the Portuguese and are building a Death Star in Welisara.”
