Google Apologises For Placing ‘Sex’ On Page Two Of The Sri Lanka Version Of Its Search Engine

GoogleGoogle offered an apology to all Sri Lankans after placing ‘Sex’ on the second page of its localised search results engine and watched hilarity ensue as people in the country frantically searched for ‘Sex’ on Google, generating the most searches from one country.

A spokesman for Google said, “We know no one goes past the first page. If anyone was to click on the second page of a Google search results they can uncover so much including who killed Kennedy, the location of Big Foot, 42 and who is buying apartments in Colombo. As a prank, we decided to put Sex in Sri Lanka on page two as well, but we did not realise how many people in that country would be looking for it so desperately that they didn’t try checking anything after the first results page.”

One man from Homagama said, “I read somewhere that if at first you don’t succeed skydiving is not for you. But also to try, try and try and again. So when I could not find sex on Google I kept on trying. A friend of mine said that you can find anything on the internet. Even information on the only Sri Lankan who refused to jump a queue. That is what led me to look for sex on Google because I could not find it anywhere else. I even tried a dodgy karaoke bar in Bambalapitiya but they said that I could not bring my own microphone.”

The Google spokesperson said, “Just to be clear we have kept Clitoris on the front page of the search engine as the top result, but most men are unable to still find it.”
