The boy who has travelled more times with the President than Maithripala’s passport, Daham Sirisena, today defended his freebie trip to Moscow saying that he was the Lankan equivalent of Ivanka Trump, whose main job involves just hanging around her dad.
In a Facebook post, the tantrum thrower said, “Just like my trip to the UN, I am the one who actually took care of the business end of stuff in Moscow. My father just watched movies in the hotel room and read the latest edition of his subscription of the monthly magazine, ‘Presidency for those without a clue’. He only came after for the formalities including the meals and to pose for some pictures.”
“I negotiated several key agreements with Russia including getting them to stop bombing Sri Lanka with immediate effect, and on the trade side of things, I agreed for the purchase of premium Russian caviar and the best Vodka using taxpayer’s money which will be shipped to my house. I got these tips from Ivanka whom I spoke to before my trip. She also said to wear Christian Louboutin shoes, which I did, but you can’t see them in the photos as they are from the waist up,” he added.
