The Presidential Secretariat today said that planning was underway to release Maithripala Sirisena’s broken record about the former government’s misdemeanours as a 12 inch non-stop mix that will be played every time the President makes a speech until such the time the new government changes its tune.
The track titled “Gin and Juice (I’ll Just Have The Juice Please)” unveiled at the start of Yahapaalanaya was produced by Dr. Dre’s Sri Lankan cousin Andare and features artists including Ran-ill Dog. The track talks about the how the former Government, led by Mr. MR (aka The Real Shady), tried to ruin the harmony in the country by getting people to dance to his tune.
However, instead of adding new tracks to the album which has the title “Straight Outta Ideas” the President has instead opted to add more verses to the one track which now is close to 17 minutes long. The new verses mainly highlight more wrongdoing by the previous administration but critics have pointed about that 3rd and 17th verse are basically the same and only scratched the surface.
Rolling Stone magazine said, “This track breaks new ground just like the walking path in Wattala that was destroyed on Sunday night.”
Former President Mahinda Rajapakse’s Album “Get Rich Or Die Rich, Either Way I’m Rich” which features his family (aka Public Enemy) has been a money spinner for the family and he said that if any loans he took on behalf of the country were not accounted for properly they should not be Paid In Full.
