Former Minister Mervyn Silva, who has surpassed levels of full retard, today announced that by creating a Joint Opposition party which opposes the current Joint Opposition, that in effect he is in power and will be establishing a Government shortly.
Speaking at a press conference last evening with all members of his new party attendance, which totalled to just one, Mr. Silva said “This is a historic occasion for Sri Lankan politics. For the first time ever a Government has been elected to Parliament without a single vote being cast. This is exactly how most politicians would like it to be but only I had the intelligence and nous to come up with such a scheme. By opposing the opposition I am now the party in power. I will soon be attending Parliament and be able to serve my people once again.”
“The reason I took this step was because the current government is not very effective. Since coming into power, not a single teacher has been tied to a tree nor has any minister raided a national TV channel to complain about the coverage they received. So in order to improve my green credentials I will undertake a tree planting program, mainly to ensure that there are enough trees that teachers can be tied to,” he added.
