The producers of Prison Break have revealed that fans can expect an exciting new season of the popular TV show when it returns to TV this summer after revealing a key plot twist that involves someone actually trying to break into prison, based on a true incident in Sri Lanka.
Having followed the antics of Gnanasara over the last few weeks, the producers decided to include a storyline of a Buddhist priest with a superiority complex who practices his beliefs by threatening other people, who gets remanded in prison but likes it so much that once he gets out on bail, he attempts to break back in. In an aim to make the character authentic, they have decided to give the role the Thera and relieve Sri Lanka of his hate inducing behaviour for several months.
A significant portion of the show’s budget has been allocated to the purchase of coconuts as it is expected that a number of extras which include junior priests will take up the smashing their nuts and resulting in the gushing of coconut water during a tense scene when it is revealed that Thera will not be granted bail for the second time.
Meanwhile, producers of the X-Files have been approached by the FCID who are keen to paraphrase the show’s tagline for their department with the title ‘The Truth Is Out There – In Offshore Bank Accounts’.
