UNP Members Of COPE Say They Were Inspired By Trump To Not Accept Official Results

sshaUS Presidential Candidate Donald Trump has been cited as the inspiration behind the move by UNP members of COPE to not accept the official verdict of the Bond Scandal report, a source revealed last evening.

It is alleged that the UNP members of the committee have said that they are not the elephant in the committee meeting room which resulted in Chairman Sunil Hadunhetti walking out. However, it was reported that the Elephant in the room remained and that is was green.

The source said, “The UNP Members said that they do not have to accept the official verdict and that they were using something called the Trump strategy. They are also demanding that this issue is not looked at as an isolated incident and that bond scandals have been going on ever since bonds were actually devised.”

A UNP Member of the committee speaking under the condition of anonymity said, “These things should be looked at in context and how they are relative. Just like Arjuna Mahendran and Arjun Aloysius are relatives. Then only can a decision be reached. Some people say Mr. Mahendran liked to dress things up in order to play down the incident, but that is pure speculation.”
