After ‘Hail Mary’ Mix Up, SL Choir Suspect ‘I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In’ Is A Driveby Anthem

Following the major mix up which briefly raised the prospect that Tupac Shakur is still alive, choir masters up and down the country have been double checking that the traditional Christmas Carol ‘I saw three ships come sailing in’ is not a reference to a potential Drive-by (Sailby?) Shootout Anthem.

The initial mix up saw the someone using the internet for the first time copying the lyrics to Tupac’s rap hit ‘Hail Mary’and printing them in place of the Christmas Hymn of the same name. In order to avoid a further embarrassment and memorandum was issued to all choirmasters to double check the hymn sheets and also make sure the lyrics match up.

The head of one choir said, “We just want to make sure that ‘I Saw Three Ships’ is not about a drive-by shooting. We also think ‘Silent Night’ is not about the mood in the street after a shootout, and ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ is not about an attempt to entrap someone. However, we have not ruled out using some lyrics from the best of Notorious BIG next Christmas.”
