Patients who are unable to seek medication due to the insecurity issues of their local public doctor are now able to channel him on the street while he is on strike, allowing the patient to receive treatment while allowing the medical practitioner to generate an income for mainly prescribing paracetamol.
On GMOA doctor said, “You see, there is no pill for being a selfish, arrogant, paranoid prick otherwise we would have prescribed it to all GMOA doctors. Despite our so-called education, we can’t engage in constructive debate about our issues so we have to strike and cause inconvenience to people who have nothing to do with our cause. That doesn’t seem unfair, is it? Until now we could only strike between 10 am and 4 pm, after which time we needed to see private patients and generate money on their tax-funded education and training, but with this new service we can diagnose them on the go.”
One patient said, “This is a great idea and the only way I am now able to see my doctor. I checked the new service and my doctor is available at Lotus roundabout at 11 am walking at 3mph, Galle Face Roundabout at 12.45pm walking at 5mph or outside Fort Railway station at 3 pm holding a placard and shouting. So there are several options for me, and I am glad to be one of the first people in the world to have a moving liver transplant.”
