Meethotamulla Residents Force Ranil To Wear Mask To Protect Them From Further Pollution

Angry residents of disaster-stricken Meethotamulla said that the only reason they permitted Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe to visit the area was on the condition that precautions would be taken to prevent a truckload of his lies and false promises to litter the area, by securing assurances that he would wear a mask.

A spokesman for the area said, “His words have been polluting this country for over a decade and the garbage men have been recently dumping some of his rubbish on this heap. As we are in a precarious position and not out of danger yet, we have insisted that no further garbage is added to the area so we had to ensure Mr Wickramasighe would not open his mouth and cause further damage to the area. We have also handed out gloves to residents in case he decides to shake their hands.”

Several members of the public have requested all politicians to wear similar masks ahead of any press conferences and statements to the made by them.
