In a bid to outdo Jason Bourne for the most number of passports owned, Sashi Weerawanse today said that she has applied for 8 passports to add to her collection, a process made easier after the Government launched online passport application system this morning.
Issuing a statement under one of the pseudonym ‘Washi Seerawanse’, MP Wimal’s wife said “Some people collect comics, others collect coffee table publications. I prefer passports. They are smaller, easier to carry around and allow you to be someone else so that you can get away with fraud and corruption. I’ve got two already but it was such a hassle to obtain the second one. I had to go to the immigration office several times and even pay a bribe. Now that the process is available online I thought I might as well order several copies in one go.”
On hearing the news Matt Damon said, “I am glad to hear I am not the only person who has access to multiple passports. I think she will enjoy using her passports more than I did cause there were US agents trying to kill me every time I crossed a border. I don’t think she will have the same problem. She could even be the next Bourne.”
Husband Wimal Weerawanse said, “I don’t need a passport when I travel. Everyone knows that I’m former Government Minister Sashi Weerawanse.”
