The public have said they are willing to raise $25 million dollars to cancel the order placed for Ravi Karunanayake and add it to the $175 million dollars to be paid to cancel a number of Airbus aeroplanes that had been ordered by the previous Government in a drunken stupor.
One member of the public said, “The MOF Ravi-K model is not performing optimally based on several tests carried out and the best thing to do is to cancel the order before any further damage is caused. He has resulted in a fluctuating VAT situation and multiple budget revisions which could have been avoided if all his parts were in working order. Due to his component failures, we are also under pressure from the IMF. This does not tally with the order that we placed and there is a general loss of confidence in the model.”
“Of course the previous government made their fair share of crony decisions including the purchase of A350 which could fly nonstop for seventeen hours. Some passengers like Ramith Rambukwella can’t even stay four hours in the air without trying to escape, so imagine what he would do when he found out the flight was seventeen hours? He might try to hijack it.” he added.
“It will cost us a bit to return Ravi, but several members of the public are willing to take up smoking in order to raise the required funds, acknowledging that their new habit is likely to cause less damage to their health than pursuing with Ravi as Minister of Finance.”
