Sri Lankan domestic Kumara has said that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has wasted his time trying to build an AI assistant named Jarvis and could have easily hired him to do all the tasks and called him Jarvis instead.
Having watched the recent video Zukerberg’s AI technology in operation, Kumara said, “What an epic waste of time. I can do everything Jarvis does and more. Open the curtains, entertain Max, put the lights on, make toast (slightly burned though) – those are things I am doing already. And my face recognition software is much better than Jarvis ever since I got new glasses. Jarvis will let any old person into the house if he recognises their face, whereas I will make sure they have gone through a thorough interrogation and ask more questions than even my employer was planning on before letting them in, even if it is his children.”
“I also can do more things than Jarvis can – pick up cat litter, find out who is visiting the neighbours, let you know if your daughter is sneaking in boys while you are away. You think Jarvis can ever do any of that? He is just a piece of software. And what happens when the power goes off? Jarvis mala,” he added.
“Only thing is that I need to go home for Vesak and Avurudu and there is no guarantee that I will come back on the date I said I would,”
The Facebook founder said, “I realised that Facebook can’t solve everything as is actually causing a lot of problems. I know loads of people who are lying to their partners and going out only to have their pictures tagged at places they should not be. As such I will give Kumara a try and see.”
