Shadow Foreign Minister Namal Rajapakse said he was thrilled at being in prison after successfully capturing several Pokemon during a 12 hour period after being arrested on charges of fraud last evening.
Mr. Rajapakse said that he has voluntarily given information that would implicate him in order to capture the Pokemon lurking inside Welikada prison as they were a menace to society and Sri Lankan culture. The former President’s son issued a statement this morning saying “A seventy million rupee fraud is one of our smaller deals. So I had no problem admitting some guilt in this transaction as I was more interested in capturing and getting rid of the Pokemon that have infested our prison system. So far I have captured 5 Pokemon including the notorious Rattata. I am hoping to capture more while I wait to be bailed out.”
“The scourge of Pokemon is causing a huge problem in Sri Lanka. The shadow cabinet is doing much more than the government to address this. All this government has done is impose and remove VAT several times. And make people feel safer. Once we return into power we will eliminate all Pokemon and other detractor mons,” he added.
Former President Rajapakse said, “I hope you are happy now. During our time we prevented the Pokemon from entering the country although certain drugs that have similar names and shapes were smuggled in by some of our former MPs. This is all about political revenge. We should have imprisoned some Pokemon when he had the chance.”
